Jane Brook Coffee

Jane Brook Coffee is a small cafe and fresh produce market at Unit 1/166 Wilson Road in Middle Swan, just off Great Northern Highway in the Swan Valley. Dogs are welcome at the shaded outdoor tables, which makes it an easy coffee stop before or after a drive through the valley. Hours run 7am to 5pm on weekdays and 8am to 4:30pm on weekends.

The dog setup

The outdoor seating area is shaded and compact, and dogs settle in beside you while you order. Staff are friendly and a water bowl sometimes appears on arrival, but bring your own to be safe. There is no dog menu, so this is a coffee stop rather than a lunch date for your hound. Drive-through and curbside pickup are also available if your dog would rather stay in the car.

Coffee and the market

The coffee has a strong local reputation, and the kitchen cabinet holds freshly baked cakes and light cafe food. Because the cafe doubles as a produce market, you can also leave with local honey, jams and locally grown fruit and vegetables. There is a book exchange inside for the humans, and the whole stop can take ten minutes or stretch out as long as you like.

Getting there and parking

Free parking sits on site at 166 Wilson Road, a short turn off Great Northern Highway. The location is a practical base for a Swan Valley loop: the fenced run at Swan View Fenced Dog Park is a short drive east if you want an off-lead session first, and the cellar doors of Garbin Estate Wines and Lancaster Wines keep you in the valley for the rest of the day.
