Corner On Tenth (C10)

Corner On Tenth, known locally as C10, is a cafe and grocer on the corner of Tenth Avenue and Railway Parade in Maylands, and it actively encourages owners to bring their dogs along. The corner alfresco seating does the dog-friendly work, and the morning happy hour has made it a fixture for the suburb's early walkers.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor alfresco seating on the corner, with easy access straight off the pedestrian-friendly footpath, so a leashed dog settles right at the table. It is a casual, high-turnover setup; bring your own water bowl, particularly in the warmer months, and be ready for foot traffic past the corner.

Worth knowing

The local hook is the morning happy hour, roughly 6am to 10am, with money off cafe drinks, and it pairs well with solid coffee, light meals, pies and cinnamon scrolls. The grocer side means a few grocery lines you can grab on the way out. Hours run long, from 6am into the evening most days, later still on Friday and Saturday nights, which is unusual for a Perth cafe.

Getting there and parking

Maylands Train Station is about 400 metres away, so the cafe sits on a rail line for walkers arriving from either direction. Street parking runs along Tenth Avenue and Railway Parade but fills at peak times.
