The Lounge Café and Eatery

The Lounge Cafe and Eatery is a neighbourhood breakfast and lunch spot inside the Logan Reserve Shopping Village on Chambers Flat Road, and it is openly pet friendly rather than just dog tolerant. Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the undercover outdoor courtyard out front, which makes this the sit-down half of a Logan Reserve park-and-coffee morning.

The dog setup

Dogs sit with you in the covered courtyard seating in the shopping village, on a lead and close to the table. Staff will bring a water bowl if you ask, so request one when you order rather than assuming it is already out. Indoors is people only, as with most cafes. Weekday mornings are the calm window for a dog on a lead; the courtyard fills up for weekend brunch.

Worth knowing

The menu runs big on breakfast plates and burgers. Eggs benedict, the pulled pork burger and the chicken burger come up constantly in reviews, alongside fresh juices, specialty coffee including dirty chais, and a cabinet of cakes and desserts. Portion sizes get a regular mention, and the venue has a kids menu, wheelchair accessible entry and seating, and table service or takeaway. It opens 7am to 3pm seven days, with the kitchen winding up around 2pm.

Getting there and parking

Find it at Shop 1, 450-458 Chambers Flat Road, Logan Reserve. Parking is free and plentiful in the shopping village car park right at the door, so you can park, walk the dog and settle in without a lap of the block.

Make a day of it

The obvious pairing is the fenced run at Logan Reserve Fenced Dog Park on Riverview Road, which splits large and small dog areas. Bayes Park is the suburb's other fenced option, and the riverside run at Beenleigh is a short drive north if you want a change of scene.
