Cafe Osheare

Cafe Osheare is a tucked-away local on the Lane Cove North side of Mowbray Road West, popular with residents of the surrounding estate for sourdough breakfasts and a calmer pace than the Lane Cove village strip up the road. It opens 6:30am on weekdays and 7am on Saturdays, closed Sundays, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables.

The dog setup

Dogs settle with you on the paved front area, close to the walkway, so keep the lead short around passing foot traffic. Staff are friendly toward dogs, and while water bowls have been offered, availability is not a standing promise; bring a portable bowl and you are covered. The menu is proper cafe work: smashed avocado, eggs benedict, sourdough sandwiches and burgers, with generous fillings and fresh ingredients drawing the praise. Weekday mornings run to 3pm, Saturday to 2:30pm, and there is no Sunday service, so the dog-friendly window is six days a week.

Free street parking runs along Mowbray Road West and the surrounding streets, including visitor bays near the local complexes. Walking in from the estate is easy on flat paths.
