Fink Cafe

Fink Cafe is a compact, friendly local on the Burns Bay Road shopping strip at Shop 3/225, Lane Cove North, with a reputation for consistent coffee, generous brunch plates and a kind team, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables on the footpath out front.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the al fresco tables on the Burns Bay Road footpath, leashed and settled beside you; indoors is off limits under NSW food rules. There is no courtyard, so the seat is among passing foot traffic, which suits a settled dog better than a reactive one. Staff are dog-friendly but there is no reliable water bowl station, so bring your own.

The vibe and the menu

Expect a laid-back neighbourhood brunch: buttermilk pancakes, bruschetta, fritters and a big breakfast, with chai lattes and solid takeaway coffee for the passing commuter trade. Hours are 6:30am to 3pm weekdays and 7am to 3pm weekends. Regulars dominate the morning run, which tells you what the coffee is doing; online ordering is available if you are grabbing and going to the park.

The cafe sits on the Burns Bay Road strip in Lane Cove North. Free street parking runs along Burns Bay Road and the adjacent residential streets, there is a small lot nearby, and local bus routes stop close to the door. Weekend mornings are the busy window.

Close by with the dogs

Blackman Park in Lane Cove West is a short drive with its fenced dog park and riverside paths, and the Tambourine Bay off-leash area in Riverview adds a water-edge option. Back on the strip, Cafe Osheare and Bella Bacio Café are the local alternatives.
