It is a trendy, design-led cafe better known for its coffee and its viral iced strawberry matcha than for the beach, but it works well as a coffee stop on a coastal walk. Getting there. The address is 60-62 Mitton Avenue. There is free on-street parking and nearby free car parking, but spots fill fast on sunny weekends. It is an easy detour if you are already walking the coastal paths.

Nearby with the dogs. Henley Square is about a five-minute walk with its grassed area and ocean views, and the foreshore is a few blocks on. On the sand, City of Charles Sturt rules apply: on-lead 10am to 8pm during daylight saving (October to March), off-lead outside those hours. Check the signage at your access point.

When to go. Aim for a weekday outside the morning rush, or a Saturday early. Remember it does not open Sundays, so plan the weekend walk around that.
