The Shack(Hammondville)

The Shack is the coffee window for Moorebank Sports Club, tucked into the club's carpark on Heathcote Road, and it works well for dogs because the whole setup is outdoor and made for quick, casual stops.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the open-air seating out front, on the pavement and around the tables, but NSW food premises rules keep them out of the enclosed servery and indoor areas unless they are a registered assistance dog. Keep your dog leashed and close, since it's a shared space with other patrons grabbing an early coffee.

Water and treats. The club sometimes has a bowl out, but don't count on it, bring your own water for warm mornings.

Known for. Cheap breakfast deals (a bacon and egg roll with a small coffee is a regular combo), Hennessy's Diamond Blend coffee, cinnamon scrolls and milkshakes. It runs mornings only, Monday to Friday 6am to 11:30am and weekends 7am to midday.

Getting there and parking. It's just off Heathcote Road with free, dedicated parking right outside in the Sporties carpark, an easy stop if you're already driving through Hammondville or Moorebank.

Nearby with the dogs. Hammondville Park is a short walk or drive away for a run after coffee, and Lieutenant Cantello Reserve Fenced Dog Park is about five minutes off for proper off-leash time.

Best for an early, quick coffee run before the morning heats up, this is a grab-and-go stop rather than a long sit, so keep it brief and let your dog stretch its legs at the park afterwards.
