Glasshouse Plantation is a working coffee farm and cafe on Glass House Mountains Road, with outdoor deck seating looking straight at Mt Tibrogargan. Well-behaved dogs on lead are welcome in the outdoor areas, which is the main reason it is worth the detour.

Dog access. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor deck and in the farm shop area, on a leash at all times. There is no dedicated pet menu, but staff put out fresh water and there is grass behind the deck for toileting breaks. The working farm has uneven ground in places, so it suits dogs comfortable on natural surfaces rather than a smooth footpath.

Known for. Locals rate the coffee (grown on site), scones and savoury muffins, plus the plantation views and short farm tours (bookings advised, capped at around eight people). It is as much a scenic stop as a coffee run.

Getting there. The plantation sits directly on Glass House Mountains Road with its own signposted car park, including room for larger vehicles. Hours run Thursday to Monday, roughly 8am to 3pm, so check before a special trip.

Nearby with the dogs. Glass House Mountains National Park and Beerburrum State Forest both have on-leash trails within a short drive, and the Glass House Mountains Lookout is a quick add-on for photos.

Water bowls are out but there is no pet food here, so bring a snack if you are staying a while.

Go on a weekday morning if you want the deck to yourself. Weekends get busy with the tour groups, and the outdoor tables fill first.
