Flavours & Co is a French-inspired patisserie cafe at 34 South Concourse, Beaumaris, that welcomes dogs in its outdoor areas. It is an easy stop after a bayside walk, and the baking alone is worth the trip.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the front footpath seating and in the outdoor area at the rear, so there is usually a spot to settle with a leashed pup. Staff are known to be accommodating to owners with dogs, and water is provided for visitors.

Bring your own fold-up bowl as a backup on busy mornings, and keep your dog out of the indoor dining space, which is where the pastry cabinets and counter queue live.

The vibe

The pull here is the baking: French butter croissants, pains au chocolat and danishes, alongside Greek-influenced savoury items such as beef mince pies and moussaka, plus gourmet sandwiches, crepes and specialty coffee. It rates highly with locals and opens every day from 7:30am to 4:30pm.

Max: go early on weekends if you want a front footpath table, the strip fills up with the bayside breakfast crowd by mid morning.

The cafe sits on the South Concourse strip in Beaumaris, with free street parking on the Concourse and a free car park nearby. Sunday trading makes it a rare seven-day option on this stretch.

Make a day of it
