Emu Point Cafe sits right on the beachfront at Emu Bay, a short stroll from the water, and it welcomes dogs onto the shaded verandah. The view over the bay is the reason to linger once the dog has finished eyeing your chips.

Getting there. The cafe is at 1A Surf Rd, Emu Point. Street parking is available on Surf Road and in the bays near the beach access points, and it is an easy walk along the beachfront path from most of Emu Point.

Nearby with the dogs. Emu Beach is a few steps away for a post-coffee walk, and the picnic area next door has plenty of grass if your dog needs to stretch out before you sit down.

Go early on weekends to get a verandah table before the crowd arrives, and bring your own bowl as a backup on a hot day.
