Di Pietro’s - Cafe

Di Pietro's is a family-owned wine cellar, providore and cafe on Chute Street in Diamond Creek, combining a delicatessen with a relaxed outdoor cafe area. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor seating and shaded verandah, while the delicatessen and wine cellar inside stay dog-free, so it works as either a coffee stop or a slow graze-and-shop visit.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area and on the verandah, on a lead and under control; only assistance dogs can go inside the shop and cellar. Staff are generally welcoming, but bring your own portable water bowl to be safe. The verandah gets shade through the day, which helps in summer.

Pepsi: a cheese counter I cannot enter and a verandah where I get served anyway. Balanced, somehow.

Worth knowing

The shop side is the draw: fine cheeses, olives, grazing boards, artisan craft beers and premium wines, with a cafe menu alongside, all with a rustic community feel that has been part of Diamond Creek for decades. It suits a relaxed coffee or wine stop with a well-mannered dog on lead rather than a quick bite.

Di Pietro's is at 11 Chute Street, Diamond Creek. Free street parking is available along Chute Street and in the nearby shopping precinct, and it is a short walk from Diamond Creek railway station on the Hurstbridge line.
