The Harvest Press is a central Darwin cafe built around wholesome food and cold-pressed juices, listed among the city's pet-friendly venues and known to dog owners for its quiet veranda. Bring water for your dog regardless of the season, and aim for a weekday table if you want the calmest sit. Hours run from 6:30am on weekdays with earlier weekend closes, so it is a breakfast-and-lunch venue, not an afternoon one.

The menu

The health-leaning list is what people queue for: acai bowls, cold-pressed juices, brekkie bruschetta, a proper bacon and egg roll, eggs benedict, protein balls and banana bread in the cabinet. The juice press is the signature, and everything travels well for takeaway if you are mid-walk and the veranda is full.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits in the Darwin City grid within walking distance of the waterfront and the central hotels, so travellers staying downtown can reach it on foot. Street parking runs through the surrounding blocks, metered on weekdays. Smith Street Mall and the Esplanade are both a short stroll away for an on-lead wander afterwards.
