Chapter E

Chapter E is a Middle Eastern cafe on the main Darlinghurst Road strip, near the Burton Street corner. It welcomes dogs at its footpath tables, which makes it an easy stop for coffee and a shawarma wrap between walks.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the alfresco tables out on Darlinghurst Road. The footpath seating is busy but leaves room for a well-behaved dog to settle beside the table, and staff are happy to bring out a water bowl. There is no indoor dog access, so this is a fine-weather stop.

Good to know. The kitchen is best known for its shawarma, shakshuka and malawach, plus well-rated coffee and fresh pastries. It gets busy at brunch, so a quieter mid-morning or early-afternoon visit is easier with a dog in tow.

Getting there. Street parking on Darlinghurst Road is metered and scarce. Try the side streets like Burton or Victoria Street for limited 1P and 2P spots, or skip the car altogether, it is a short walk from Kings Cross Station.

Nearby with the dogs. Green Park is a few minutes down the road for a stretch, and the Darlinghurst Road strip itself is good for a slow stroll before or after your meal.
