St Coco Cafe

St Coco Cafe has turned a suburban Daisy Hill shop into one of Logan's destination cafes, helped along by a drive thru for the coffee-and-go crowd and a proper outdoor offering for everyone else. Dogs are welcome in the patio, terrace and alfresco seating with water bowls on hand and the occasional puppicino, while the indoor ordering and dining areas stay people only.

The dog setup

The outdoor zone wraps the shop, so you can usually find a table with shade and a corner for your dog. Water bowls appear without much asking, and the puppicinos show up often enough to be part of the routine for regulars. Doors open at 6am weekdays and 7am weekends, closing around 2pm, and the early tables are the ones with the most room for a leashed dog.

The menu skews healthy without being punishing: acai bowls, gluten free options and hash browns for the traditionalists, plus a brisket burger for everyone else. Panna cotta handles dessert. If you are on a morning drive with the dog in the car and no time to sit, the drive thru keeps the coffee flowing without anyone leaving the vehicle.

Daisy Hill's big asset for dog owners is the forest next door. The network at Daisy Hill Trails offers shared walking tracks through the conservation park, and shorter options like the Quarry Road Track suit a pre breakfast loop. For a second coffee or a quieter room, Zhilin (Kiwa) cafe is the suburb's other dog friendly stop.

Parking is in the Cupania Street centre itself, with the drive thru lane separate from the sit down side, so arrive via the shops rather than the lane if you are settling in.
