Ham Harry & Mario

HAM, short for Ham, Harry and Mario, is a family-run cafe and deli on Gerrale Street with a Greek-influenced menu and one of the biggest outdoor footpath settings in Cronulla. Apple granola and acai bowls lead breakfast, the yeeros anchors lunch, and the cabinet of spanakopita, muffins and caramel slice does constant business alongside ONA coffee.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome across the large outdoor seating area on the footpath, and it is roomy enough to settle a dog properly beside your table rather than squeezing past chairs. Staff are friendly to pets and often bring out a fresh water bowl unprompted. Indoors stays people-only. On Sunday mornings the footpath fills with dogs, which tells you most of what you need to know about the welcome.

Worth knowing

Hours run 6am to 5pm every day, though weekends, particularly Sunday mornings, get very busy. Weekday mornings are the calm window; on weekends arrive early to land an outdoor table with space for the dog before the brunch rush. The deli side means you can take charcuterie, olives and bread for the beach picnic instead.

Getting there and parking

Find it at Shop 3, 17 Gerrale Street, Cronulla, a couple of blocks back from the sand and an easy walk from the station. Free street parking sits around Gerrale Street and the nearby blocks, but expect competition on weekends. The footpath setting is flat and wheelchair accessible.

Close by with the dogs

Shelly Park is a short walk for an on-lead stretch, with Shelly Park Shop right there for a second stop. Other Cronulla tables that take dogs include LOAF Cronulla and Blackwood Cronulla on Surf Lane.
