Espresso Cooly

Espresso Cooly is a small cottage-style cafe at 5 Dutton Street, on the corner of Marine Parade and a short walk from Coolangatta Beach. It opens early, daily from around 6am, which makes it a natural first stop before a morning beach walk.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the front courtyard, a garden area with picnic tables under pine trees, plus covered decking seating. The cafe is well known for being relaxed about four-legged guests, and puppyccinos are a regular request. Keep your dog on a lead in the courtyard.

Good to know. The coffee is Allpress espresso, and the bacon and egg rolls draw consistent praise. The menu leans towards brunch and quick, healthy plates.

Getting there. Free street parking sits in the surrounding streets but gets tight on weekends. The cafe is very walkable from the main Coolangatta beach strip.

Nearby with the dogs. Coolangatta Beach and Queen Elizabeth Park are both close for a walk, and Greenmount Beach is a short stroll for more scenic ground. Check local signage for off-leash hours.

Best early, both for the cooler walk and a quieter courtyard. Bring your own water bowl on hot days and confirm at the counter where your dog can settle.
