Henley’s Corner

Henley's Corner is a small neighbourhood coffee and bagel spot at 21 Henley Street in the Como backstreets, closed Mondays and trading early otherwise. It rates near-perfectly with locals, and the footpath tables at the front are where the dog walkers stop on their morning loop.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the compact outdoor footpath seating, which fits a handful of well-behaved dogs comfortably rather than a crowd. Staff are warm with canine visitors and often bring water out, but on a busy morning bring your own bowl to be sure. Keep dogs leashed and close, since the tables sit right on the footpath.

Worth knowing

The draw is quick, high-quality specialty coffee and fresh breakfast bagels, with croissants and blueberry cream pastries also popular. Hours run Tuesday to Friday from early morning to 1pm and weekends to midday, so it is a breakfast stop, not a lunch one. Confirm the day's hours on their Instagram before setting out, as updates land there first.

Getting there and parking

Henley Street sits in the residential streets off Canning Highway, with kerbside parking on the surrounding blocks. It is an easy walk or cycle from the South Perth foreshore, which makes it a natural stop on a river loop rather than a destination drive.

Close by with the dogs
