Creekside Cafe

Creekside Cafe sits at 65 Orlando Street alongside Coffs Creek in Coffs Harbour, with a sunny outdoor area looking over the water and the mangrove boardwalk. It is a natural half-way stop on the Coffs Creek walk, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which makes it one of the more useful dog-friendly coffee stops between the town centre and the Jetty.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the outdoor alfresco area rather than indoors, and water bowls are provided for thirsty arrivals off the creek path. Staff are used to dogs at the tables. Keep your dog on lead and settled under the table, since the boardwalk and sanctuary grounds next door carry foot traffic through the day.

Worth knowing

The draw is the creekside position as much as the menu: coffee, teas, chai and juices, plus pancakes and light cafe meals through the morning. It runs early, from 7.30am to 2pm daily, so it works as a breakfast stop before the heat or a post-walk lunch. The venue sits beside the Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary grounds, so expect families and visitors around the entrance on school holidays.

Max: time it to the creek walk. Park once, walk the boardwalk stretch, then land at the outdoor tables with the water bowl already out.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is on Orlando Street, close to the town centre and a few minutes from the Jetty precinct, with free on-site parking at the door. Walking in along the Coffs Creek Walk and Cycleway is the better option if you have the dog with you.

Make a day of it

The creek path runs right alongside for an on-lead stroll in either direction. For an off-lead run, North Wall Beach off-leash area is a short drive towards the harbour, and Thompsons Road Reserve fenced dog park covers the fully fenced option. Further down the Jetty Strip, Twenty46 is another outdoor-table cafe for a second coffee.
