Where dogs go. Binky & Beans is a specialty coffee caravan on Spry Street, parked right outside The Rabbit Doctors vet clinic. Every seat is al fresco, so dogs are welcome beside you at the footpath tables. Keep your dog on a lead and close in, since the frontage is narrow and shares space with the clinic entrance and passersby.

The setup. Water bowls are put out for visiting dogs, which makes it a handy pause on a neighbourhood walk. It is a morning-only operation: roughly 8am to noon Monday to Friday, 9:30am to noon Saturday, closed Sunday, so plan an early coffee.

Known for. Locally roasted coffee, an eco-conscious streak, and keenly priced daily specials. It doubles as a small community hub for pet owners in and out of the vet clinic.

Getting there. Street parking is generally available around Spry Street.

Best paired with a walk down to Coburg Lake Reserve or the Merri Creek paths, both a short distance away.
