True Brew Cafe 灶咖

True Brew Cafe is a casual Taiwanese-fusion spot on Anglo Road in Campsie, sitting right next to a park with outdoor seating that works well for a coffee stop with a dog in tow. It opens daily from 9am to 4pm.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, kept on leash, and the parkside setting makes it an easy stop either side of a walk. No dedicated water bowls are confirmed, so bring your own just in case. The outdoor section is the whole ticket here, since indoor dining is not an option for dogs.

The vibe

The kitchen leans Taiwanese, with braised pork rice, pork katsu sandwiches and cakes alongside the coffee, and regulars rate the portions as generous. It is a tight, casual room, better suited to a park-adjacent coffee than a long sit-down, and the outdoor tables fill quickly on weekend mornings.

Max: go early on a weekend if you want an outdoor table. By mid-morning the front section fills up and the wait starts to test a young dog's patience.

Worth knowing

Being next to a park rather than on a main strip, the footpath tables stay comparatively calm for dogs that find traffic noise hard work. Staff are described as friendly and the menu runs all day rather than switching off at breakfast.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at Shop 5, 20 to 22 Anglo Road, with free street parking nearby and Campsie station a short walk away for anyone coming by train.

While you're out there

Anglo Road Park sits right next door for a walk before or after, and the Campsie Off Leash Dog Area gives the dog a proper off-lead run a short distance away. Haus 356 Cafe, Restaurant is another dog-friendly option in the same suburb if True Brew is full.
