Sugar Mint Cafe sits just off Queen Street in central Campbelltown, at 1/13 Blaxland Road, with relaxed outdoor seating where dogs are welcome while you eat. It is a value-first, all-day breakfast and burger kitchen that pours Toby's Estate coffee, and it keeps the dog with you rather than tied up around the corner.

The dog setup

Dogs sit at the outdoor tables with their humans; inside the cafe is people-only. Staff have a warm reputation with the dog-walking crowd, and water is generally available on request, though packing a travel bowl removes any doubt. The street edge is a cafe strip rather than a road-front table, so a settled dog is comfortable.

On the plate

Meals are made in house and priced mostly under twenty dollars, which is the core of its local following. The all-day breakfast runs to a big breakfast and omelettes, the haloumi, spinach and cucumber rolls are a lighter order, and lunch leans on well-rated beef burgers including the pulled beef and pulled pork versions, wraps and salads. Coffee is consistently praised. Hours are 6am to 2:30pm weekdays and 8am to 2pm Saturdays, closed Sundays.

There is onsite parking plus street parking nearby, though the morning breakfast peak can fill things up. The cafe is an easy walk from anywhere in central Campbelltown.

Close by with the dogs

Koshigaya Park is a short walk for a leashed stroll, but Campbelltown City Council keeps it on-leash only. For an actual off-leash run, Milton Park's fenced dog park in Macquarie Fields is the nearest dedicated option, and Baden Powell Reserve is the closest big green space. Too Good Cafe on Queen Street is the other dog-friendly outdoor-table option, and Queenie Bakery rounds out the strip.
