Benesse runs out of a shop on Victoria Street in Bunbury and takes brunch seriously enough to have become a destination: chilli eggs, rosti, eggs benedict and toasties on the savoury side, gluten free options across the menu, and a flat white program that holds its own in a coffee-strong town. It opens 7am to 5pm every day of the week, which is longer trading than most of the region's cafes attempt, and the covered alfresco terrace does the heavy lifting for the outdoor trade.

The dog policy in detail

Dogs are welcome on the covered alfresco terrace along Victoria Street, kept on a short lead and close to the table, per the venue's own Facebook dog policy post. The same post sets out the treat rules: puppycinos and kangaroo treats are sold on site, and outside treats are not permitted, which is worth knowing before you arrive with a pocket full of jerky. The covered terrace means the setup works through Bunbury's changeable coastal weather, and a short lead at the table keeps the terrace flowing for everyone.

Victoria Street sits a few blocks inland from the Koombana Bay foreshore, so the pattern is a beachside walk first, then brunch on the terrace. The all-day 7am to 5pm trading makes this one of the few dog friendly stops in Bunbury that works for a late lunch as well as breakfast, and the kitchen keeps serving through the afternoon without a menu changeover.
