It is a casual setup rather than a fully kitted-out dog cafe, so bring your own water bowl rather than counting on one being provided. Indoors stays for the counter and the baking, so plan on the garden from the moment you arrive.

Worth knowing

The draw is the baking rather than a full brunch menu: wood-fired sourdough loaves to take home, croissants, danishes and the cardamom scrolls that regulars chase, plus quiche for something savoury. Coffee comes from Bright Side, so the flat white holds up alongside the pastries. Hours are short, Tuesday to Friday from 6:30am to 2pm and Saturday to 1pm, closed Sunday and Monday, so time your visit and check the bakery's Facebook page before a special trip.

Getting there and parking

8 Jones Place sits just off the main commercial stretch of Broome, an easy walk from Chinatown and generally easy to park near with free street parking on the surrounding blocks.

Close by with the dogs

The Broome Historical Museum is a short walk away, and Town Beach Parklands gives you a wide, on-lead grassy stretch over Roebuck Bay for a proper wander after a pastry. If you are out early, the Shire of Broome allows dogs off lead on the Cable Beach North exercise area between 5am and 8am, so an early takeaway run to Molly's pairs neatly with a beach walk.
