Kimberley Coffee Company is Broome's own roaster, out on Port Drive in Minyirr, and it earns a stop for the coffee alone. This is a working roastery first and a cafe second, which is exactly why the beans in your cup were ground minutes not months ago. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, so it slots neatly into a Cable Beach loop drive or a Minyirr Park walk.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the shaded outdoor courtyard out front, not inside. Staff are used to dogs and will usually sort out a water bowl, but in Broome's heat bring your own bowl and water anyway. Keep your dog on a short lead close to the table. Opening days are limited: the roastery doors run weekend mornings (7am to about 1pm Saturday, 12:30pm Sunday) and closed the back half of the week, so plan around it.

Worth knowing

The draw is freshly roasted organic coffee: cold brews, iced chillers and vanilla chillers for the heat, plus gluten-free options in the cabinet. Staff get consistently good wraps for being kind and knowledgeable about their beans, and you can buy bags to take home or order online. It is a quick coffee stop rather than a full brunch destination.

Getting there and parking

It sits on Port Drive in Minyirr, a few minutes' drive from Chinatown and an easy detour on the way to Cable Beach. Parking is right out front and there is no shortage of it. If you are walking Minyirr Park's tracks, dogs are permitted on a lead at all times through the conservation area, so leash up and stick to the marked paths.
