Worth knowing
The coffee is Little Owl Coffee Roasters, and the kitchen goes well past toast: the signature Half and Half pairs a yoghurt and fruit bowl with smashed avo, feta, beetroot relish and poached egg on sourdough, alongside a breakfast burger, corn fritters, pulled pork eggs benedict and chilli scrambled eggs, plus vegetarian and vegan plates. The kitchen closes around 1pm and the cafe wraps at 2pm, so this is a breakfast and lunch venue.
Getting there and parking
Short Street runs through the heart of Chinatown, with free undercover and rooftop parking at Paspaley Plaza. Everything from the cafe is a flat, short walk.

A stroll through Chinatown suits a dog on a lead before the day heats up, and Matso's Broome Brewery keeps its pet-friendly garden seating going through lunch. At Town Beach and Cable Beach, Shire of Broome rules allow dogs in designated zones but require a leash near boat ramps, footpaths and the camel rides, and exclude dogs from zones near the patrolled surf club area, so read the signage at your access point.
