North Point Brighton

North Point sits right across from Brighton Beach at the North Road foreshore, with bay views and a big undercover outdoor area that makes it an easy stop after a beach walk. Dogs are welcome in that outdoor seating, so it works as the coffee-and-eggs end of a morning on the sand.

The dog setup. Leashed dogs are welcome in the spacious outdoor and undercover, street-side seating, not inside. Staff are accommodating and water bowls are usually on hand. Keep your dog close to your table and clear of the service path.

Good to know. The draw here is the position: unobstructed views over Port Phillip Bay, directly opposite the beach and on the Bay Trail coastal path. The kitchen runs all-day breakfast, brunch and coffee, and it gets busy with locals on weekends.

Getting there. 2B North Road, Brighton. Paid parking in the North Road foreshore car park, with limited free street parking nearby that fills early on weekends. Brighton Beach Station is a short walk.

Nearby with the dogs. The beach and the Bay Trail are on the doorstep, with the seasonal off-leash zones a walk along the sand. Mind the summer beach windows before you let your dog off the lead.
