Trevallan Lifestyle Centre

Trevallan Lifestyle Centre is a garden centre on Fernvale Road in Brassall with its own coffee shop on site, and the combination of plants, pots and coffee makes it one of the more pleasant leashed-dog stops on Ipswich's northern side. Established in 1998 and now run by horticulturist Chelsea Allan, the centre has grown into a genuine destination nursery: curated indoor and outdoor plants, garden products, artisan gifts and homewares, plus a regular program of workshops and events from orchid masterclasses to tarot readings. The coffee shop was added so visitors could meet a friend for a drink and then wander the gardens.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor nursery areas and at the coffee shop's outdoor seating, kept on lead. There is no confirmed indoor access for dogs, so plan your visit around the open-air areas. Bring your own water bowl if your dog needs a drink, as water and treat availability are not well documented. The garden setting is calm and green, which suits dogs that settle quietly while you browse or finish a coffee.

The vibe and the plants

The tone here is unhurried and green rather than cafe-bustling. Reviews and visitor guides point to the plant range, the friendly staff and the gardening advice as the drawcards, with the coffee a bonus rather than the main event. Hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 4pm, closed Mondays. Browsing the nursery and gift lines after coffee is what turns a quick stop into a half-morning.

Getting there and parking

The centre sits at 77 Fernvale Road, Brassall, on the northern approach to Ipswich, roughly ten minutes' drive from the CBD via the Warrego Highway. There is on-site parking close to the entrance, so the walk in with a dog is short.

For a proper run first, Brassall Dog Park gives your dog an off-leash session before you impose cafe manners, and the Brassall Quarry Pond picnic area makes an easy leashed walk.
