The Foundry Cafe

The Foundry Cafe is a community cafe on the Catalyst Church campus at 142 Pine Mountain Road in Brassall, open weekday mornings only. It is a relaxed, spacious spot that welcomes dogs in the outdoor seating, which makes it an easy stop when you are running errands around Brassall with the dog in tow.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor, sunlit seating area, which has plenty of room to spread out. The campus also runs a popular fenced playground, so keep your dog leashed and settled at your table rather than roaming. Staff are used to four-legged visitors and water bowls have been available, but treats are occasional rather than guaranteed, so a portable bowl and your own supplies are the safe bet.

Max: weekday mornings only, doors shut at 1pm and weekends are closed entirely. This is a coffee-and-errands stop, not a weekend brunch destination, so plan the dog walk around it.

The coffee uses locally roasted Dancing Bean beans, and the kitchen covers breakfast and lunch staples such as toasties, burgers and a worthwhile banana bread, with vegetarian and vegan options alongside. Reviews consistently praise the friendly service and the calm, community feel, and a small on-site plant nursery gives you a reason to linger after the cup.

The cafe sits on the Catalyst Hub campus on Pine Mountain Road, with a large free car park on the grounds that handles bigger vehicles without fuss, plus easy street parking nearby. Hours run 7am to 1pm Monday to Friday, closed weekends and on public holidays such as the Ipswich Show Holiday.

Because weekends are off the table here, a good pattern is a weekday coffee followed by a run at Brassall Dog Park, or the Quarry Pond picnic loop when you want a walk with the visit.
