Milli & Mol's Espresso

Milli & Mol's Espresso is a neighbourhood coffee spot on the corner of Ridgewood Road and Lancewood Street in Algester, the kind of place locals duck into for a quick flat white or a full breakfast. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables out front, and staff will often sort out a puppuccino if you ask.

The dog setup

Dogs stick to the shaded outdoor seating on the footpath, not inside. A water bowl usually appears for a waiting dog, but ask rather than assume, and keep your dog leashed and settled at the table since the strip stays busy with locals coming and going. The tables are limited, so a weekday morning gives you the best chance of a spot.

The vibe

This is community cafe operating at full strength: staff know the regulars by name, the coffee runs on Dramanti beans and draws consistent praise, and the Turkish toasties and eggs benny are the standout breakfast orders. Muffins and donuts cover the sweeter side, and the mood is relaxed rather than rushed.

Hours run from 6:30am, closing at noon on Mondays, 2pm Tuesday to Friday, and 1pm on weekends, so it is firmly a breakfast and lunch venue.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits at Shop 1, 65 Ridgewood Road, with street parking along Ridgewood Road and the adjoining shopping strip. It is an easy walk for anyone in the immediate Algester neighbourhood.

Close by with the dogs

Earn the toastie first with a run at the Algester Off Leash Dog Park, or head a suburb over to the fenced enclosures of the Calamvale Off Leash Dog Park, which has separate large and small dog areas. Both pair naturally with a coffee stop either side.
