Elbourne Wines at 236 Marrowbone Road is a small, family-run vineyard with a genuine farm setting, where sheep, pigs, chickens and geese are all part of the scene. Tastings run by appointment, and the dog-friendly spot is the front veranda, where you can work through the range with the dog at your feet and the vines in view.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas, with the front veranda the main dog-friendly tasting spot. The tasting room is a small boutique space, so confirm whether your dog can come inside when you book. Keep yours on a lead at all times, which matters more than usual on a property with resident livestock, and bring your own water bowl to be safe.

Tastings are personalised and run by the owners across quality Chardonnay and Shiraz, in a relaxed, family-and-pet-friendly setting where the farm animals are part of the appeal rather than a distraction. Book ahead, as appointments are the only way in, and a weekday slot is the calmest.

Getting there and parking

The vineyard sits at 236 Marrowbone Road, within the main Pokolbin wine region, with on-site parking near the vines and picnic area. It is a short drive off the Broke Road side of the valley.
