The dog setup
Dogs on lead are welcome across the wide scenic lawns and the outdoor terrace around the cellar door, which is where you want to be anyway. Indoor tasting space is the wet-weather fallback rather than a guarantee, so phone ahead on (02) 4998 1866 if rain is coming and you need to bring the dog in. One genuine watch-out: peacocks wander the grounds, so a dog with a strong chase instinct needs a short lead and your attention. Bring your own water bowl and do not count on dog-specific facilities.
Max: The peacocks are not a hypothetical. If your dog fixates on birds, keep the lead short and pick a lawn spot away from where they roam.
The vibe
This is one of the oldest vineyards in the region and the tasting list leans into its strengths: semillon and moscato, cheese platters, and staff who know the story behind the label. Pre-booked picnic hampers on the lawns are popular, and the view does most of the selling. Doors open 10am to 5pm daily.
Getting there and parking
A winding road climbs to the venue at the top of the ridge, with plenty of on-site parking, though the top area fills on weekends. Book ahead for weekend tastings or arrive early for the calmest version of the visit.
When to go
Clear mornings give you the view at its best with the smallest crowd. Mid-week slots are the quiet option if your dog prefers space to settle.
