Lowe Family Wine Co

Lowe Family Wine Co is a certified organic and biodynamic vineyard on Tinja Lane at Eurunderee, about ten minutes from central Mudgee, and it is one of the region's most genuinely dog-welcoming cellar doors. Dogs are welcome across the grounds, the staff keep water bowls handy, and the whole property works as a relaxed, spread-out stop rather than a quick tasting.

The dog setup

Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome on the terrace and across the lawns, and friendly dogs are often tolerated inside the cellar door too, though outdoors is the easy default. This is a working farm with livestock, so keep your dog close and well away from the animals. Staff usually have water bowls and the occasional treat out, but bring your own bowl to be safe.

Max: farm animals on site means this is a lead-on, stay-close visit. Scope the lawn for a quiet corner away from the livestock fences before you settle in.

The vibe

The estate was a pioneer of Zinfandel in Australia and works with low-intervention, biodynamic winemaking, with house-made produce hampers at the cellar door. The on-site Zin House restaurant runs a seasonal shared menu built around the property's own gardens; book well ahead, and call first to check dog arrangements for dining rather than just a tasting.

Getting there and parking

It is a straightforward ten-minute drive from Mudgee out Tinja Lane to Eurunderee, with ample free parking on site.

Pair it with

Di Lusso Estate and McIntosh Estate are close by in the Eurunderee wine district and both welcome dogs in their outdoor areas, and YEATES Wines up the road is another dog-friendly pour. The Cudgegong River walk in town is a good shaded leg-stretch before or after a tasting.
