Art of Krupinski

Art of Krupinski is a small family-run cellar door on Mount Stirling Road, Glen Aplin, best known for pairing its own boutique wines with homemade Polish pierogi. It is one of the most relaxed dog-friendly stops in the Granite Belt, with dogs welcome to roam the open-plan indoor-outdoor space alongside the owners' own resident dog.

Dog access and setup. Dogs are welcome both in the open-plan cellar door and the outdoor seating area, and staff are used to well-behaved dogs being under the table or wandering nearby. There is a resident dog on site, so keep yours close on arrival until you know how they will get on. If chickens are roaming the grounds a leash is the safer default. Bring your own bowl, though the cellar door is generally happy to top up water for a thirsty dog.

Known for. Small-batch wines from winemakers Artur and Natalia, including chardonnay, cab franc and sparkling, plus a cheese platter menu and the Polish pierogi that sets it apart from other cellar doors on the strip.

Getting there and parking. The winery is at 364 Mount Stirling Road, Glen Aplin, with free on-site parking. It is an easy stop if you are working through the Granite Belt wine trail by car.

Nearby with the dogs. Mountview Wines and Jester Hill Wines are both a few minutes away in Glen Aplin and also welcome dogs, so a short winery hop is realistic if your dog is a calm traveller.

When to go. Weekends are the safe bet since opening hours are limited (roughly Saturday, often Sunday, 10am to 4-5pm), so confirm hours before driving out. Good for calm, social dogs who are happy to settle near a table.
