Peacetree Wines is a small, family-run cellar door on Bussell Highway in the middle of Cowaramup township, pouring low-preservative, small-batch wine in a relaxed, unfussy room. It is genuinely dog-friendly, often with the family's own golden retrievers on hand to greet arrivals, and its position in town makes it the easiest walkable stop on a Margaret River day out with the dog.

The indoor tasting room is small and intimate, so the comfortable move for everyone is to take your tasting out to the grassed and outdoor areas rather than crowding the counter. The range runs to chardonnay, pinot noir and tempranillo, plus a well-regarded brandy liqueur. Hours vary across the week, currently closed Tuesday to Thursday and open from 11am the rest of the week, so check before a special trip. It suits a casual drop-in rather than a booked-out afternoon, and being in town means a designated driver is optional rather than mandatory.
