Greenway Wines is a small, family-run single vineyard on Wollombi Road best known for its big red barn cellar door and a range of left-of-centre wine styles beyond the usual Chardonnay and Semillon. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor tasting areas under the vines.

Dog access and setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor, covered patio area under the vines on a lead. This part of the barn setting is open-air, so it works well for a relaxed tasting with a dog at your feet. Dogs are not permitted inside the main tasting room. Water bowls are typically out for visiting dogs, but bring your own just in case.

Known for. Estate-grown fruit and unconventional varieties rather than the Hunter's usual staples, poured in a rustic, unpretentious barn setting.

Getting there and parking. The cellar door is at 350 Wollombi Road, Broke, with on-site parking. It is open Friday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm, so check before driving out on other days.

Weekends are the only time it is open, so expect more visitors and less room under the vines than a quiet weekday elsewhere in Broke. Confirm the current opening days before you go, as small cellar doors do shift their hours seasonally.
