Woodbridge Riverside Park

Woodbridge Riverside Park lies on the Swan River in Woodbridge, the suburb next door to Hazelmere, and its smooth riverside path makes an easy on-lead walk with black swans and pelicans for company.

Lead rules

The City of Swan allows dogs on lead along the shared riverside paths. The fenced playground is a prohibited area for dogs, so steer around it.

The walk

The path is flat, sealed and step-free, easy for prams and wheelchairs as well as dogs. It runs under paperbarks and gums with the river close alongside.

For a longer outing, the John George Walk Trail links this park with Reg Bond Reserve over about 5.5 km, following the water the whole way.

Getting started

Free parking is available near the park and at the entry points to Reg Bond Reserve. The council keeps bins and dog bag dispensers at key entrances.

Water along the path is not guaranteed, so bring a bottle and a bowl.

When to go

Mornings and late afternoons are best for birdlife and cooler paws, and the shaded seats along the way help on warm days.
