Wildflower Walk

Wildflower Walk is the climbing option at Crooked Brook Forest, a 3 km bush loop that rises from the lower track to a lookout over the Crooked Brook valley towards Bunbury. Dogs can come, on lead.

Lead rules

Keep dogs on lead, as on the other Crooked Brook trails, to protect the kangaroos and other wildlife. The forest is managed by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, in the Shire of Dardanup.

The walk

The track is a hardened bush surface that rolls up and down through jarrah and marri. The canopy keeps most of it shaded and cool.

The payoff is the lookout, plus the wildflowers along the way in spring.

Water and facilities

There are no dog water points on the track, so carry water and a bowl. Back at the day-use area you will find covered picnic shelters, barbecues, eco toilets and parking right at the trailhead.

Bins sit around the picnic area, but plan to carry your bags out.

When to go

Come in spring for the flowers, and on cooler mornings for the climb. It suits fit dogs that enjoy some up and down, so save the flat concrete loop by the car park for older legs.
