Lake Orr

Lake Orr is a lakeside walk on the Gold Coast, where the foreshore path runs mostly through Varsity Lakes and the catchment reserve reaches into Robina. The path is flat, paved and on lead, with a fenced off-lead dog park at the Robina end.

Leads and the dog park

The City of Gold Coast requires dogs on a lead on the shared foreshore paths and boardwalks. The dedicated fenced off-lead dog park is at Lake Orr Catchment Reserve on Christine Avenue.

The walk

Wide, flat concrete paths and timber boardwalks follow the foreshore, with open water views, native birdlife and linked green parks. The smooth surface is easy on paws and suits prams.

Benches and shaded rest spots sit along parts of the path. It is a busy local route for runners and dog walkers, so expect company.

When to go

Shade is only partial, so early morning or late afternoon is best in summer. The flat path suits older dogs and anyone walking with a pram.
