Turners Beach Sports Precinct Walking Track

Around the Turners Beach Recreation Ground, off The Esplanade, a perimeter track circles the ovals used for local cricket and football. It is a practical on-lead loop for a quick daily walk, with the beach close at hand.

Lead rules

Central Coast Council requires dogs on a lead in public sporting and recreation areas like this one. Some nearby beach sections carry seasonal or time limits, so check the signs before heading onto the sand.

The walk

Expect a firm perimeter track of bitumen or compacted ground around the playing fields.

The open ovals leave most of the loop exposed, though mature trees shade parts of the precinct. Parking sits next to the ground, and bins are near the precinct and barbecue areas.

Reserves along the Esplanade have water, some with bowls for dogs.

For a longer outing, join the Turners Beach Foreshore Shared Pathway. The western end of Turners Beach, from east of Claytons Rivulet to west of Turners Beach Road, is signed for off-lead play.

Morning and afternoon laps are the local habit. Pick a time when the ovals are not in use for a calmer walk.
