Pet policy
Dogs on lead on the rivulet track; the off-lead beach runs east of Claytons Rivulet to Turners Beach Road (Central Coast Council).
Claytons Rivulet runs out to the western end of Turners Beach, and the track beside it is a shaded green corridor that ends right where the off-lead sand begins. Walk the rivulet on lead, then let your dog loose on the beach.
Leads and the off-lead beach
Keep dogs on lead along the rivulet track. Central Coast Council signs the western end of Turners Beach, from just east of Claytons Rivulet to west of Turners Beach Road, as an off-lead exercise area.
The walk
The track is a mix of natural earth, gravel and sandy approaches. Native trees line the water, and it is a good spot for birdlife.
Parking and bins are near the Esplanade and beachfront. There is no dog water on the track itself, so bring a bowl.

The Turners Beach Foreshore Shared Pathway carries on along the coast, and Windows On Westella is the pick for a coffee afterwards.
When to go
The sheltered rivulet is the better half on a windy or hot day. Dogs that love a swim finish happiest at the beach end.
