Bowna Waters Reserve

At the end of Bowna Waters Road in Table Top, this AlburyCity reserve opens onto the Lake Hume foreshore, with dead timber standing in the water and wide views across the lake. Dogs are welcome on lead.

AlburyCity keeps off-leash exercise to its designated dog parks, and this reserve is not one. Keep your dog on a lead and under control here.

Along the foreshore

The track is natural earth, grass and dirt, running along the water's edge. It is open-ended, so you walk as far as you like and turn back when it suits.

Shallow sections of the lake let dogs wade on lead. Shade is scarce on the foreshore itself and mostly limited to the picnic and barbecue shelters by the car park, so bring drinking water.

Max: Kangaroos graze around here. Keep a firm hold on the lead and watch the tree line before your dog does.

Getting started

There is plenty of parking at the reserve, with room for boat trailers, next to the boat ramp. General bins sit near the picnic areas.

Cooler mornings and evenings suit it best, given the lack of shade on the track.
