South Creek Park

South Creek Park on Creek Road in St Marys gives open grass, playing fields and a stretch of South Creek, linked by paved shared paths. It is a flat, easy on-lead walk.

Lead rules

Penrith City Council requires dogs on lead on the paths and open spaces here. For off-lead play, use one of the council's fenced dog parks nearby.

The walk

Concrete shared paths run through the park and on toward Blair Oval, so you can keep it short or link into the longer St Marys Heritage Walk of about 4 km.

Trees and creek plantings shade some sections, but open stretches are common. Bins are at the park entries, and there is parking near the connecting reserves.

Stop at Cassandra's on the Park, or let the dog off at Gipps Street Recreation Precinct Fenced Dog Park.

Smooth and flat, it suits older dogs and prams.
