Shrimptons Creek Riparian Corridor

Shrimptons Creek winds through Macquarie Park as a green corridor of native plantings, pocket parks and tall Sydney blue gums, a welcome run of shade among the office towers. The City of Ryde keeps dogs on a lead along the shared path.

The walk

The path is sealed, wide and mostly flat, with raised concrete sections and boardwalks. It links Wilga Park, Elouera Reserve and Santa Rosa Park, so you can walk as far as you like.

Birds, lizards and ducks keep dogs interested, and the gums shade much of the way.

Off-lead options

The path connects to Santa Rosa Park, which has designated off-lead areas. Check the council signs, and clip back on before rejoining the creek path.

Before you head off

Bins sit at park entries and path junctions. Dog bowls and taps are mostly at the connecting parks rather than on the path, so bring water.

There is street parking, plus a few bays near Santa Rosa Park off Bridge Road.

Stop in at Chew Babe Pet Grooming Cafe, or head over to ELS Hall Park for more space.

When to go

The shade makes it a solid summer option. The flat, paved surface suits older dogs and anyone walking with a pram.
