Shailer Pioneer Park

Shailer Pioneer Park on Harley Street is a wide, concrete-path circuit that works in any weather, with bubblers, shade and free parking. Dogs are welcome on lead.

Lead rules

This is a general Logan City Council park, not a fenced off-leash area, so dogs stay on lead on the paths and the open grass.

The walk

The smooth, wide concrete paths are disability friendly and easy on older dogs. They pass a shaded playground, a skate park, basketball and tennis courts and open grass fields.

Bubblers are on site, bins are spread through the park, and mature trees and shelters give plenty of shade. Toilets and picnic areas with barbecues round it out.

Make a day of it

Lady's Dog Park is a small fenced off-lead park nearby, and Rev’e Coffee Hub is close for a coffee.

When to go

The playground and courts draw families, so a weekday morning lap is the calmer option. It suits dogs who are relaxed around bikes, skateboards and kids.
