Secret Harbour Beach Path

Indian Ocean views and rolling surf are the reason to walk the coastal path at Secret Harbour, which carries on into Golden Bay. The path is on lead, but there are off-lead dog beaches at both ends of the neighbourhood.

Leads and the off-lead beaches

The City of Rockingham allows dogs on lead on the coastal paths and the on-lead sections of foreshore.

For a swim, there are designated off-lead dog beach zones near Siracusa Court in Secret Harbour and near Crystaluna Drive in Golden Bay.

Pepsi: Save the off-lead beach for the end of the walk, so the dog gets a proper swim once the path is done.

The walk

It is a sealed dual-use path along the foreshore, shared with cyclists, through low native coastal scrub with the beach just below.

The name is not an official one. Locally it is simply the coastal path, and it links into the longer foreshore trail running north towards Rockingham.

A coffee at Bru's House rounds it off.

When to go

Walk early in summer, before the path heats up, and carry water for the dog.
