Mulwaree River Walkway

Goulburn's Mulwaree River Walkway follows the riverbank on a paved shared path, crossing the old Lansdowne Bridge on the way. It is an on-lead walk from start to finish.

Lead rules

Goulburn Mulwaree Council requires dogs to be leashed and under effective control in public spaces. The only exceptions are the town's designated off-leash parks, and the walkway is not one of them.

Following the river

The route starts on Bungonia Road and crosses the historic Lansdowne Bridge. From there it follows Forbes Street toward the Carr Confoy Sporting Fields, then loops around the Goulburn Golf Course and the Goulburn Wetlands.

Expect river views most of the way, plus a look at the Old Goulburn Brewery. The concrete surface is smooth and easy for dogs of any age.

When to go

The firm path and gentle river setting suit older dogs and anyone after an easy stroll. Bring water for the dog, since the full loop is a decent outing.
