Memorial Gardens

Memorial Gardens, at 1 Menzies Crescent in Prospect, pairs neat lawns and paved paths with timed off-lead hours every morning and evening. It sits beside the Prospect Oval precinct and the Prospect Community Garden.

Leads and off-lead hours

The City of Prospect lets dogs off the lead daily from 5am to 8am and from 5pm to 9pm, as long as they stay under effective control. Outside those hours, dogs must be on a lead.

The fenced playground is off limits to dogs at all times.

The walk

Concrete paths wind between open lawns, picnic areas and shaded shelters. Public toilets and free electric barbecues make it easy to linger.

Max: The off-lead windows are fixed. Set an alarm, because the lead goes back on at 8am and 9pm.
