Frankly Bagels

Frankly Bagels is a small bagel shop on Belford Avenue in Prospect, a few steps off the main strip, turning out hand-rolled bagels with generous fillings and coffee that locals rate seriously. Its best dog-friendly feature, though, is across the road: Charles Cane Reserve sits directly opposite, and the shop's own advice for dog owners is to grab your order to go and eat it in the park.

Keep leads short and dogs settled when the tables fill, and bring your own water bowl to be safe, as the shop's water setup for dogs isn't something to count on. Weekday mornings are the calmer window; weekends bring a queue.

Free street parking is available on Belford Avenue, busier on weekends. The shop is a short walk from the Churchill Road end of Prospect and works easily as a stop on a suburb loop with the dog.
