Riverdale Park

Riverdale Park, on Armstrong Road in Meadowbrook next to Loganlea, puts separate small and large dog enclosures beside a fishing lagoon. Walk the paths on lead, then let the dog loose inside the fence.

Lead rules

Logan City Council keeps the walking tracks and general park areas on lead. Off-leash play is only inside the fenced dog areas, which are split for small and large dogs and include agility gear.

The walk

Paved concrete and bitumen bikeways and walking tracks cross open grass toward the Logan River. The lagoon's floating gazebo is the landmark.

Mature trees, pergolas and picnic pavilions give partial shade. Water taps are near the main facilities, and bins sit along the paths and by the enclosures.

Free parking is on site, with more street parking near the Armstrong Road and Evans Road entrances.

The flat, paved tracks suit dogs of all ages. Small or nervous dogs do well in their own enclosure.
