Marsfield Park

Marsfield Park runs from Vimiera Road through to Culloden Road, and its big draw is simple: dogs can go off lead whenever the sportsfield is not being used for organised sport.

Leads and the off-lead area

The City of Ryde lists the park as a dog off-leash area outside organised sport. When a team is training or a match is on, the allowance lapses, so clip your dog back on and give the players room.

The walk

Open sports turf takes up the Vimiera Road side, with a patch of native bushland in the middle that offers natural shade. You will also pass the local Riding for the Disabled facility.

Underfoot it is mostly grass and natural ground rather than formal paths.

There is on-site parking off Vimiera Road, and public toilets serve the sportsground.

Max: The off-lead allowance ends the moment organised sport starts. Carry the lead even on a quiet day.
